CITY PRODUCTIONS MUSIC
A Pacific Alliance...  From Down Under to Hollywood

City Productions Music is an Australian based entertainment company, whose principals Andrew Mason and Paul Mason have become key players in a number of worldwide blockbuster films.  From Executive Production on The Matrix films, Scooby Doo and Kangaroo Jack, to production and music work on films such as Danny Deckchair and the soon-to-be-released The Cave -- brothers Andrew and Paul not only provide film production expertise "down under," but help connect the vast pool of music talent found on their continent to the world's screens.  City and BME will coordinate music talent and songs between their projects, and will co-supervise some feature films.

GARY NICHOLSON   --   Songman Across the Genres...

Gary Nicholson brings a breadth of talents to his work as one of the most successful songwriters of his generation, along with his prowess as a producer and musician.  Nicholson is one of the few songwriters who has found success in multiple genres on a consistent basis - from Rock to Country, Blues to Folk.  The list of artists who have recorded his songs reads like a who's who from all forms of popular music: Bonnie Raitt, Ringo Starr, Bonnie Bramlett, Garth Brooks, Brooks and Dunn, Glen Campell, James Cotton, Neil Diamond, The Dixie Chicks, Dave Edmunds, Fleetwood Mac, Emmylou Harris, Etta James, Waylon Jennings, Wynonna Judd, B.B. King, Lonestar, John Mayall, Keb' Mo', Stevie Nicks, NRBQ, Robert Plant, John Prine, George Strait, Junior Wells...  and that's just to name a few!!  With major film credits as well ("Major League," "Happy Texas," "Urban Cowboy," "Message In A Bottle"), BME is ready to take Gary from the top of the charts to front and center on the big and small screens.  And yes  --  Gary controls licensing for most of his music (and all new music)!!  Contact BME to get Gary involved in your project.
Nicholson has written for, produced, and played with some of the greatest legends in music.
In the year of "Ray," we couldn't pass up this picture...

. . . a little more of "What's Happenin'"
  • Initial screenings of 2 new films featuring BME client scores:  Armada Pictures "Drum" (composed by South African resident Cedric Samson) and Nick Vallelonga's "Choker" (composed by Harry Manfredini).
  • 2 current music supervision projects:  "Annie: Life After Tomorrow" directed by Gil Cates Jr./Julie Stevens (a then-and-now story of the actors from the Broadway smash) and "CMT: 20 Greatest Country Bands" directed by Thom Oliphant for CMT/Viacom.
  • BME's catalogues and clients have had songs licensed into projects including Steve Buscemi's "Lonesome Jim," the Allison Janney starrer "Our Very Own," and multiple new artist cuts...
Ahhh - that lovable redhead.
